s'Morgens
We zijn de nacht goed doorgekomen. Wat liggen slapen en veel wakker geschrokken. Gisterenavond de kittens aangelegd bij Jila, Wat nog een
heel gedoe is omdat de buik van Jila behoorlijk strak staat. Maar een aantal ging toch wel drinken. De DA dacht dat ze misschien geen melk
had. Bij geen enkele poes hier heb ik dat meegemaakt dus dat zou voor het eerst zijn. We houden het gewoon in de gaten. De kittens zelf zijn
vannacht goed content geweest, die heb ik niet zo veel horen piepen. Gaia ging er op een gegeven moment heel eigenwijs toch erbij in de
werpkist zitten, heeft Jila een paar tikken op de kop gegeven. Ik heb ze een paar tikken terug gegeven, want Jila deed niets. En toen ineens
lijkt het over. Ze gaat er nu bij, wast Jila, Jila wast haar en ze wil uiteraard de kittens wassen. Hopen dat het zo blijft. Kruimel niet,
die loopt tegen Jila en Gaia en tegen mij te grommen. Wij ruiken niet zoals we horen te ruiken schijnbaar. Overlopers.
De kittens lijken goed te gaan. Er zijn er 2 afgevallen en 4 aangekomen. Nu had ik de eerste weging wel pas gedaan nadat ik ze een flesje
heb gegeven, dus dat kan een vertekenend beeld geven. Ik ben niet ontevreden over de gewichten. De buikjes zijn ook lekker rond.
Ze wegen nu 60,62,62,72,74,88.
De geslachten 2 lichte katers, 1 lichte poes, 2 donkere poezen en 1 donkere kater. Volgens mij zijn het allemaal blauwe kittens,
geen bruine. En 2 chocolate en een lijkt een Lilac te kunnen zijn.
All went well during the night. I slept a bit and woke up a lot. I put the kittens on the nipples last night. What didn't go that well
because Jilas belly seems very fat. But some did work. The vet thought she might not have milk, but I have never had a female who didn't,
so we will see. The kittens slept well and were quiet. Gaia came sitting in the whelping box, she did hit Jila a couple of times, and I hit
her back (soft) because Jila wasn't doing anything. And then I was ok, she started cleaning Jila and of course the kittens. Now she jumps
in from time to time. Kruimel is still grumpy, she doesn't like Jila, Gaia or me. We smell differently.
The kittens, they seem to go well, 2 lost weight, 4 gained. Now did I take the weight after I bottle fed them, so there can be a slight
different there. But I'm glad with the weights and the belly's are nice round.
They weigh now 60,62,62,72,74,88.
The genders: 2 light male, 1 light female, 2 dark females, 1 dark male. I think all the dark are Blue, they don't seem Brown. And I think
two Chocolates and one can be Lilac.

Rustig aan gedaan vandaag. Mama doet het goed met haar kittens, ze wil veel aandacht en bevestiging. Ze vind het fijn als Gaia erbij komt
liggen. Maar Gaia is nog niet helemaal overtuigd. Over een van de Blauwe kleintjes maak ik me zorgen, dat ligt teveel apart. Die heb ik dus
aan de flesvoeding zitten, de rest heeft mooie bolle buikjes en zijn zoet.
Easy on today. Mam is doing well with her kittens, she wants a lot of attencion and confirmation. She would love to have Gaia around, but
Gaia is not totally convinced. I'm worried about one of the Blue kittens, it is spending to much time apart. So I'm bottle feeding that one.
The others have nice round bellies and are very sweet.

Het ging vandaag de goede kant op met Jila en Gaia. Gaia is gestopt met meppen en mopperen, en nu wil ze moederen.
Ze ligt soms tussen Jila en de kittens in, zo leuk dat ze het vind. Kruimel moppert nog, maar gaat momenteel veel naar
boven om daar rustig te liggen. Bij haar zal het langer duren om te zakken, zij heeft ook geen moedergevoelens omdat ze
gestereliseerd is zonder ooit kittens te krijgen. De kittens weeg ik s'morgens en s'avonds momenteel, zo houd ik controle.
Het kleinste kitten komt niet echt aan, die voed ik om de 3 uur een beetje ongeveer. Echter vanmiddag weigerde ze de fles.
Ze is wel beter actief, ligt niet meer apart en is probeert ook een tepel te scoren. Dus trek ik nu soms een van de 2 dikke
eraf en leg die hummel aan. Kijken of dat wat wordt. Het licht met roze bandje was ook niet zo goed aangekomen dus die heb
ik vanmiddag ook van de melk laten snoepen. Die dronk wel gretig. Vanavond zullen we zien of het gewerkt heeft.
Ook heeft mijn DA nog gebeld om te informeren naar de kat, hij had doorgekregen dat we toch en keizersnede moesten laten
doen dit weekend, en zelf heb ik de dienstdoende dierenarts gebeld om hem op de hoogte te brengen van de huidige toestand.
Ik kreeg de assistente en die zei: leven ze allemaal nog. Die had vast verwacht dat de kleinste het niet zouden halen.
Maar ik heb hier wel vaker kleintjes in het nest, dus niets nieuws.
It went well with Jila and Gaia today. Gaia is no longer grumpy to Jila, and now she want's to be a mother as well.
Sometimes she lays between Jila and the kittens, so fond she is of them. Kruimel is still grumpy, but she is staying a
lot upstairs at the moment, she just needs a lot more time. I take the weights of the kittens in the morning and in the
evening, so I have a bit more controle. The tiniest kitten is not really gaining. I give it a bottle every 3 hours more or
less.But this afternoon it didn't want the bottle anymore. She is a bit more active and not alone all the time, and she
tried to get a nipple today. So sometimes I pull one of the two fat ones of the milkbar and put her on it. Let's see if that
works. The tiny light one with pink band didn't gain much today, so I gave her some extra also, she wanted to drink. This
evening we will know if it helped a bit. My vet called because he heard we had a c-section, and I called the vet who did the
c-section to let them know Jila and kids are doing well. She sounded surprised that all kittens were still alive. I think
she thought the 2 little ones would already been death. But I'm used to have small kittens, we had them before, so nothing
new here.

Gelukkig, vanacht was de lichtste kruimel 4 gram aangekomen, net zoveel als haar broers en zusjes. En vanmiddag woog ze
70 gram. Minder zorgen nu, meer genieten. De nieuwe foto's zijn van gisteravond.
Happy, this night the tiny kitten gained 4 gram. The same as her brothers and sisters. This afternoon her weight was 70
gram. Less worries, more happiness. New pictures are from last night.

Update van de M&M etjes. Ze doen het alle 6 heel goed. Sinds vrijdagavond zitten ze allemaal over een ons. De gewichten
van gisteravond 122-128-136-158-172-174. Het kleinste zorgenkindje doet het dus erg goed en doet erg haar best om genoeg
te eten bij mama. Ze is zelfs erg brutaal en probeert haar grotere broers soms van de tepel te krijgen. Wat soms nog lukt
ook. Vier hebben er hun navelstreng verloren en vier hebben hun oogjes open. Mama Jila en oma Gaia zorgen samen voor het
kroost. Daarom kan Jila af en toe een rondje uit de werpkist. Heel soms gaat ze naar buiten, maar door de kou is ze snel
weer binnen. Kruimel komt al meer in de huiskamer en moppert al minder. Alleen bij de werpkist moet ze nog af en toe een
grommetje laten horen. Jila en Gaia slaan er niet echt aandacht op. Ik ben al begonnen met namen zoeken, maar heb er nog
niet voldoende gevonden. Dat volgt hopelijk deze week. Vanmiddag proberen we wat foto's te maken.
Update of the M&M-s. They all do very well. Since Friday evening they are all more then 100 gram. The weights of last
night 122-128-136-158-172-174. The smallest worry baby is doing very well, she tries very hard to eat enough. She is
very brutal and tries to get her bigger brothers of the nipple so she can eat. Sometimes it even works. Four have lost
their umbilical cord, four have opened their eyes. Mama Jila and grandma Gaia are caring for them together. So Jila can
go for a walk sometimes. Sometimes she likes to go outside, but because of the cold she doesn't stay long there. Kruimel
spends more time in the living room, and is a bit less grumpy. Only near the whelping box she needs to grump a bit. Jila
and Gaia pretend not to hear her.I started to look for names, but don't have enough yet. I hope to find all of them coming
week. We try to take pictures later today.

Mijn hoofd staat nog niet bij het plaatsen van de foto's vandaag. Ik ben vanavond met Jila terug geweest naar de DA. (mijn eigen) Jila's
wond zag er al niet zo netjes uit, en genas niet zo geweldig. Bovendien had van zaterdag op zondag een hechting eruit
gehaald. Normaal zou dat niet zo'n ramp zijn als er hechtingen genoeg zaten, maar nu stond de wond open en ging er steeds
slechter uit zien. Ze heeft een antibotica spuit gehad, Voor op de wond Mellodermal, en synolux kuurtje. En ze moet nu ook
nog ff een kapje op. De kittens vonden het eerst maar niks, want nu rook mama weer anders. Maar gelukkig zijn die er
overheen en drinken ze al weer. Ik heb de kap een klein beetje kleiner gemaakt, zodat ze wel wat beter kan eten en drinken
en haar kittens kan wassen. Gaia vind het maar vreemd als ze met kap rondloopt. Als ze rustig ligt gaat het wel. Kruimel
vind het zomaar vreemd en is weer wat onrustiger.
I'm not in the mood for putting the pictures pnline yet. I went back to the vet with Jila, my own. Jila's wound didn't look
that good and is not healing well. And she removed a stitch from Saturday on Sunday. Normally that is not so bad because
it was already 8 days, but because the wound was a bit open, it went even more open. It only looked worse. Jila got an
antibiotic, a creme Mellodermal and synolux. And she needs to have a collar so she can't lick the wound. The kittens didn't
like it at all, she smelled different, but they are over it already and nursing at Jila. I did make the collar a bit smaller
so she can eat and drink a bit better, and even wash the kittens. Gaia thinks it is weird when Jila walks with the collar,
but when she lays down she is alright with it.Kruimel thinks it is very strange and is a bit restless.

Nou gisteren was ik in alle staten hoor. Normaal heb ik dat niet zo en kan alles heel relatief bekijken. Maar op een of
andere manier zag ik verschrikkelijke rampsenarios met Jila. Dat ze bv zou overlijden omdat de infectie naar binnen sloeg,
en ik dan die 6 hummels wekenlang moet gaan voeden. Of dat ze weer geopereerd moest worden en dat het dan weer ruzie in de
tent was met Gaia. Zat ik zo niet op te wachten. Ik wilde ook niet naar de weekendarts, ik wilde liever naar mijn eigen DA.
Die is ook altijd heel kalm, vooruitstrevend en no-nonsese type. Hij zei nog gisterenavond, "zeg, zo ken ik je helemaal
niet". Ik had er gewoon buikpijn van. Maar goed, hij heeft me gerustgesteld en medicijnen gegeven. Hij gaf wel aan dat het
nu wel onzekerder wordt of Jila nog een keer moeder kan worden. Het kan zijn dat er veel wild vlees en verklevingen binnen
gaan groeien en dan wordt het alleen maar moeilijker. Zucht. Jila draagt haar kraag niet met plezier maar ze ligt veel in
de werpkist en dan gaat het wel. Komt ze eruit dan doet ze raar, loopt overal tegenaan, gaat in zijn achteruit. Wil dan
juist op dingen klimmen wat niet handig is met dat ding. En dan die wond die daarbij steeds open gaat. En Gaia vind haar
dan ineens weer gek doen als ze rondloopt, maar die loopt haar dan alleen na te gapen. Kruimel is een ander verhaal, die
vind het zo vreemd dat we die maar even voor de lieve vrede wat meer bij de andere boven houden. Rust in de tent. De wond
ziet er momenteel al wat rustiger uit. Ik moet hem 2 keer insmeren, maar het mag meer. En aangezien ik een fijne werkgever
heb waardoor ik vanmiddag weer thuis kon werken, kon ik Jila nog een keer zalven en eten geven. Hopelijk is het leed rond
het weekend geleden en kunnen we gaan genieten in plaats van zorgen maken. De kittens zelf doen het uitstekend. Volgens mij
hebben ze nu allemaal hun oogjes open en op een na alle navelstrengtjes eraf. Ook beginnen ze te reageren zoals mama
teruglikken of op hun eigen poot sabbelen.
I was very up said yesterday. Normally I'm not like that. But for a strange reason I saw all kinds of disasters with Jila.
For example she got killed by the infection, and I had to bottle feed the kittens for weeks. Or that she had to have an
operation again and because of that war between Gaia and Jila. I didn't want all those things. I didn't want to go to the
weekend vet, I really wanted to go to my own vet. He is always very calm and with nonsense. He said to me: "I don't know you
like this" But he comfort me and gave medication. He also told me that it is unsure how the wound is going to heal inside,
it is possible that Jila wont get kittens anymore. Jila is not wearing her collar with pleasure, but she lays a lot in the
whelping box, that goes very well. When she walks around, she walks funny, walks against furniture, walks backwards. Or
wants to jump on things, that is not very smart, and also the wound will open then every time. Gaia thinks she reacts
when she walks, but she is just looking at her and following her. Kruimel is a different story, she thinks it is very
strange and to keep the peace I keep her a bit more upstairs with the other cats. The wound looks a bit better now. I
have to put the creme on for 2 times, but I can do it more. And because I have a very good boss, so I could go home this
afternoon, I could put on some creme again and give Jila some food. I hope all is much better this weekend, and that the
worries are over then. The kittens are doing fine. I think all of them opened their eyes, and except one all umbilical
cords are lost. And they start to react, for example they start to lick mama and their own paws.

Met de M&M-etjes gaat het erg goed. Ze groeien goed ondanks de antibiotica en zalf van mama Jila. Twee dikzakjes zitten
al over de 240 gram gisteren. De twee middelste zitten over de 200 gram en beiden kleinsten wogen gisteren 188 gram. Het
kleinste M-etje heeft zelfs een groeispurt gehad om wat aan achterstand in te halen. Ze worden al een beetje actief in de
werpkist en krijgen wat intresse in pootjes en staartjes. Ondertussen is nu ook duidelijk te zien dat er een Chocolate meisje
is en twee Lilac jongens. Hoewel een van de Lilac's wel lichter is als de ander. Ook heb ik ff verwarring gehad tussen de
twee lichte, maar die met het blauwe bandje is toch echt een kater en met rose bandje een poesje.
Ze hebben nu ook allemaal een naam: Milay', Minowis, Mich'il', Mikyow', Mamijola en Misgiy'ts. Het herstel van Jila gaat
maar moeizaam, of ik ben te ongeduldig. De wond ziet er wel wat rustiger uit, maar hij blijft te ver open naar mijn zin.
Ik heb nog tabletten tot maandag, maar ik vermoed dat ze nog wel een kuur kan gebruiken. Vervelend voor haar is ook dat de
kittens sterker worden en vechten om aan de tepel te kunnen, met als gevolg dat ze haar weer raken in de wond. Die gaat dan
weer bloeden. Soms gaat ze zelfs lopen en laat de kittens liggen omdat ze teveel pijn kreeg. Afplakken met een pleister of
gaas gaat helaas niet, Jila laat het wel zitten, maar het blijft zelf niet zitten vanwege de zalf en de kittens. En dan zit
het overal behalve over de wond. Dus dat is ook geen succes. Nog twee weken, en dan kunnen we proberen de kittens op vast
voer te zetten, en voor Jila wil ik zeker als ze vier weken zijn hieraan beginnen. Dan krijgt zij wat meer rust.
Waarschijnlijk ga ik de 3 poesjes laten testen op het Cinnamon gen. Dan kan ik daarna een keuze maken welk meisje kan
blijven, omdat ik sterk het gevoel krijgt dat het voor Jila niet echt fijn is om straks nog eens een nestje te krijgen.
All goes well with the M&M's. They grow very well, despite the antibiotic and creme from mama Jila. Two fat kittens are
already over 240 gram yesterday. The two middle ones weight was over 200 gram and both smallest weight was 188 gram. The
smallest one was having a grow spurt this week to catch up with the others. They start to get a bit more active and are
interested in paws and tails. In the mean while it is now clear that we have a Chocolate girl and two Lilac boys.
Although one Lilac is lighter then the other. I had some confusion with two lights, but the one with blue collar is a
boy and with rose collar is a girl. They also all have a name now: Milay', Minowis, Mich'il', Mikyow', Mamijola and
Misgiy'ts. The recovery of Jila is goes slowly, or I am to impatient. The wound looks more clean, not so red anymore,
but I think it is still to far open. I have still some tablets till Monday, but I think she will need more by then.
It is also very hard on her that the kittens are getting stronger. They fight for a nipple and also get in contact with
the wound. That hurts and Jila sometimes leaves the kittens because of the pain. The wound then starts bleeding again.
Band aid on it doesn't help, Jila leaves it there, but it doesn't stick, because of the creme and the kittens. So that is
not a success either. Still two weeks to go, and then I can try to put the kittens on solid food, it will give Jila a bit
more rest when they are eating that. I'm probably going to test the 3 females on the Cinnamon gene. I can then think about
witch girl is going to stay, because I really get a strong feeling that it is not going to be a pleasure for Jila to have
again kittens in the future.

Update over Jila.
Zojuist nog een keer naar de DA geweest. Hij zegt dat het er al beter uitziet, rustiger ook. De wond moet eerst vanuit de diepte
dicht gaan en zal dan vanzelf aan de bovenkant verder dicht gaan. Jila heeft nog een antibiotica spuit gekregen, maar een kuur is
verder niet nodig. Mijn DA is zeer positief ingesteld en denkt dat over 3 dagen de wond dicht is. Normaal ben ik ook altijd erg
positief, maar ik denk niet dat dit binnen 3 dagen over is. smile-emoticon Maar goed, ter geruststelling van mij dat het toch de
kant op gaat gaan we er maar weer voor. Oh, en dat is dan wel weer typsisch mijn DA: geen kosten.
I went to the vet with Jila, to have a check-up. My vet says it looks already a bit better. The wound needs to heal from deep inside
and will then heal on the top. Jila got another antibiotic shot but doesn't need any pills at the moment. My vet is very positive and
thinks the wound will be closed in 3 days. Normaly I'm also very positive, but I don't think this will heal in 3 days. smile-emoticon.
But anyway, it is to comfort me and it is going in the good direction. Oh, and typical my vet: no costs.

Eindelijk wat beter nieuws.
Het gat in de buik van Jila is dicht, er zit nog niet netjes een mooi velletje overheen. Maar ik betwijfel of dat nog mooi dicht gaat
groeien. Misschien blijft het wel een vreemde bult straks, op 3 plekken helaas. Sinds gisteren mag ze nu van mij haar kap af, en ze
blijft redelijk goed van de wond. Met de kittens gaat het super, die groeien als kool. Lopen op hun manier door de werpkist, met
vallen en opstaan dus. Ze kunnen al goed horen en als ik tegen ze praat zitten ze te luisteren, zo grappig om te zien. Nog ff en
dan kunnen we beter met ze knuffelen, nu vinden ze dat nog niet altijd ff leuk.
Finaly some good news. The hole in Jila's tummy is closed now, only there is not a nice fur over it. I doubt it will get nice and
furry. Maybe there is going to be strange bumbs on her belly in the future, on 3 places unfortunately. Since yesterday I took her
collar away, she is not over cleaning her wound. The kittens go very good, the grow very nicely. They walk true the whelping box,
with falling and standing up. They can hear me clearly and start listening to me when I talk to them, that is always so funny. Just
a little while and we can cuddle them beter, now they don't like that, that much.

Zo de enveloppe naar Davis is onderweg. 3 testen voor de meisjes of ze Cinnamon dragen of niet. Verder gaat het met de peuters
goed. wink-emoticon De eerste ontwormkuur zit er ook weer in. Ze eten al een beetje mee, de een wat beter dan de ander. Soms gaat
er een op de bak, maar soms ligt het plasje ook ergens anders. Hopelijk snappen ze aan het eind van de week waar het moet. De nieren
werken in ieder geval goed. Poepjes hebben we nog niet gevonden. Waarschijnlijk horen we dat wel als ze de eerste grote boodschap op
de bak gaan doen, ze maken namelijk nu al behoorlijk lawaai bij alles.
The envelope for Davis is on it's way. 3 tests for the girls, to see if they carry Cinnamon or not. The little ones are doing fine.
The first deworming is been given. They eat a bit meat, one a bit better then the other. Sometimes they use the litter box, but
sometimes it's just on the floor. I hope they understand were to go at the end of the week. The kidneys are working perfectly though.
They haven't yet pooped. But I think we will hear that soon enough when they are doing the first one on the litter box. They are very
noisy already with everything.

Wachten duurt lang..... Gisteravond nog een mail gestuurd naar Davis CA. Omdat ik nog niets gehoord heb van de testen.
Hopelijk is het idd het weer dat de schuld is, anders moet ik weer swaps af gaan nemen en opsturen: We have not received your sample
into the laboratory for testing. Samples arriving by postal mail from outside of the United States have been taking 2-4 weeks to
arrive. The mail has been very slow due to bad weather conditions. Hopefully, the sample will arrive soon. You should receive a
confirmation email when the sample arrives.
